White water rafting has become a popular exhilarating activity in Lebanon. Not only is the sport entertaining, it is also an amazing physical exercise that develops the upper body strength while still having fun. The term “white water” actually comes from the accelerated and unstable currents that form a white froth on the surface of the rapid. As in any other sport, white water rafting has different levels of proficiency. Your experience, as much as the thrill you’re seeking, determines the choice of river. Whether you choose rafting for fun or as a professional sport, we advise the spring as the ideal time to perform the activity, as the melting winter snow increases water levels in the rivers. More specifically, from March through May, rich and powerful currents offer an optimum thrill. |
