Day 01:

Arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel in Muscat.

Day 02:
After breakfast, proceed on a half day tour of Muscat. Muscat offers the visitor a unique opportunity to witness a modern commercial centre existing in harmony with its traditional culture. With its natural harbour, Muscat means ‘Anchorage’ and lies in a natural volcanic bowl. Our tour of the Grand Mosque and the Bait Al Zubair Museum is a brief introduction that traces Oman’s history and development. Drive along the waterfront Corniche visiting the Fish Market. We proceed for a photo stop of the magnificent Al Alam Palace, residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali. Visit the colorful Muttrah souk. Back to the hotel. Evening at leisure.

Day 03:
After breakfast, departure by 08:00 to visit the Seeb Fish Souk by the seaside. Drive threw the date palms to see the sparkling springs and Fort al Nakhl. Visit the beautiful Wakan Village famous for its fruit terrace farming. Our next stop is to Wadi Abbyad the “White Valley”, which has large patches of white sedimentation. The drive winds threw the mountains with small pools of water dotting the Wadi bed. Lunch en route. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04:
After breakfast departure by 08:00 from the hotel and head north towards Rustaq. Proceed to Wadi Bani Ghafir. Pass by the village of Miskin. Drive to Dariz and Amlah via Baat - famous for its beehive tombs. Lunch en route. Visit Jabrin, the finest of Oman’s Castles built in the late 17th century, which became a seat of Omani learning. The castle displays the highest achievement in Omani ceiling painting and beautifully executed wood carvings. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05:
After breakfast leave at 08:00 to visit Tanuf, Al Hamra village, situated on the foothills of Jebal Akhdar (green mountains) enjoy a walk through its oasis and its dense date plantations. Visit Misfah a pretty mountain village with stone dwellings still in existence. While heading for Jebel Shams, stop at the terrace farming village of Wadi Ghul. Lunch en route. Drive to Wadi Nakher. In the Jebel Akhdar range Jebel Shams is the highest peak, which offers a spectacular view. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06:
After breakfast, departure at 07:30 to visit Nizwa, which boasts of the famous Round Tower Fort, built in the 17th century, and its souk known for its Friday castle auction, intricately hand-carved “Khanjars” (daggers) and ornamental silver jewellery. Proceed in an easterly direction for Sur, via Izki, Sinaw Souk and Mudhaybi, with lunch en route. The Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand and dunes rising up to 200 meters are also host to a variety of flora and fauna.
The ever changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer’s delight. Visit a Bedouin house in this wilderness. In stark contrast to this is Wadi Bani Khalid. It comprises of small pretty villages embedded in the mountains. The Wadi has clear deep blue water. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07:
After breakfast, check out at 09:00 to see the ruins of Bibi Miriam’s Tomb at the village of Qalhat on the coastal road to Muscat via Wadi Tiwi village, which provides a surprising contrast with its lush green Wadi and dense plantations. Our next stop is the Bimah Sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with blue green water at the bottom. On clear sunny days while driving along the coast one might chance to see sharks in the deep blue water or even the fleet-footed Gazelle sprint across the arid landscape. Overnight stay at the Muscat hotel of your choice.

Day 08:
After breakfast, departure and transfer to the Seeb International Airport to your next destination.
